& Thank you . . . . .

for sticking with me here and on Instagram . This year I realise I have not shared as much on the blog as I overthought things , worrying about what is relevant and interesting to share. Behind the scenes I have been absorbing increasing amounts of content, taking just as many photos and not getting out as much I think is healthy . Probably this is a post 2020 hangover, can you relate ?

I have been watching lots of photographers on You Tube and streaming quite a bit of televison .

At the moment I am enjoying watching The White Lotus on Sky Atlantic via a Now TV subscription brought by my son to watch football . I believe it is a £10 per month . Sky Arts is included in the package, which looks like it will draw me to the sofa over the next month to explore the huge catalogue of goodies on offer. Last night I kicked off by watching Auction, a fascinating 20mins from Bonhams in London selling off Lady Lucan's possessions and Linda McCartney's Photography Exhibition at The Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool .

Christmas preparations have been low key this year as the "senior" members of our family have decided not to buy Christmas gifts for each other, instead donating to charities (we choose Children in Need and Shelter) .

Christmas cards have got fewer and fewer over the years, both in the sending and receiving . Due to increasing costs for postage and strikes I have sent very few cards. After all we can keep in touch with people without the need of the obligatory Christmas Card.

I hope you have a lovely holiday ahead , regardless of whether you celebrate Christmas or not , and I wish you all the very best for the coming year .

Until 2023
